Dr. Nick Seivert

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Nick Seivert specializes in the assessment and evidence-based treatment of obsessive compulsive disorders and anxiety disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. He uses exposure response prevention (ERP) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat a variety of problems, including OCD, generalized anxiety, separation anxiety, social anxiety, selective mutism, panic disorder, phobias, health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, hair pulling and skin picking, and perfectionism. Dr. Seivert provides individual therapy, family therapy, parent-child therapy, and parent training in order to address a range of emotional and behavioral problems (e.g., anxiety, self-esteem, ADHD, oppositional defiance) that present in early childhood.

Dr. Seivert earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Columbia University in New York City and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in child and parent-infant services at the Child and Family Institute of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. He spent 8 years providing evaluations and therapy to clients of all ages at an OCD specialty treatment center in Manhattan prior to moving to MN and joining ATR in 2014. His work includes collaborating and consulting with schools and other treatment providers involved in a client’s care. He has experience supervising psychologists and trainees.

Dr. Seivert is licensed to practice psychology in MN and NY, and he is licensed through PSYPACT to provide teletherapy to clients located in most states in the country.
